Program Opportunities

• Organize a food drive to help us fill our food pantry.
• Assist with picking up food donations at locations around Michiana.
  
• Help pack and deliver thousands of Christmas boxes for local families in the months of November and December.
• Meet with clients, listen to their needs and help them to determine possible government and social services to access to meet their needs. Training is available for volunteers willing to make a time commitment each week to:
  • Take incoming calls from clients and refer home visit calls to Society volunteer and parish groups.
  • Enter client information into our computer system and help with other administrative duties.
• Join our legislative advocacy network as we inform our elected officials and urge them to develop policies and legislation that protects those who are in need.

Thrift Store Oportunities

• Sort through clothes and other donations, stock shelves, and get items onto the retail store floor.
• Paint and clean up the grounds of the Thrift Store.
• Help donors with incoming donations on our dock.
• Help repair donations like lawnmowers, electronics and appliances that come into our store.

Parish Conference Opportunities

• Join the St. Vincent de Paul group at your local parish where you will meet regularly to discuss the mission.
• Visit people in the neighborhood who have requested asssistance.
• Help organize community support.
