National Vehicle Donation Program

In the past, the St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Joseph County accepted vehicle donations. The vehicles were then sold through the local Thrift Store and the proceeds were used to benefit our mission to serve the poor in St. Joseph County. Recently, a new program has been established on a nationwide level. Vehicles are donated nationally, sold nationally, and the proceeds are returned to the local St. Vincent de Paul Society. It is easier for us and we believe that it is also easier for you. Former St. Vincent de Paul Development Director, Laura Baker, donated a vehicle through the new program. She said, "We were ready to get rid of our 1994 Nissan Altima, but had put off donating until December. I was a little worried that we would not be able to claim the donation for that tax year. I was extremely impressed by the ease of the program and quick pick-up of the vehicle." If you have a vehicle that you wish to donate, please do so by participating in the new program.
